Events >> Annual Gathering
On October 16, the Duke Forest held its 2008 Annual Gathering. Many members of the community and University attended to hear highlights of the teaching, research, and forest management activities over the past year. For the presentation given by Judson Edeburn, Duke Forest Resource Manager, please click here.
This year's event included a question and answer session regarding the Forest's Deer Herd Reduction Program, as well as a very informative presentation given by Trish Clark from the Tick-Borne Infections Council of North Carolina, Inc. (TIC-NC).
The evening ended with the presentation of the Clarence F. Korstian award for exemplary support of the Forest to John Kent, advocate for the New Hope Creek.
The Duke Forest would like to thank the speakers and all the friends of the Forest that made the night such a success! We hope to see everyone again next Fall for the 2009 Annual Gathering!
